RegCure – a Registry Cleaner Review By J. Tilton, CNE, Security+, ITIL-F, Six Sigma DFSS
What's a registry cleaner, what does RegCure do?
RegCure holds the distinction of being amongst the most popular tools one can use to clean their Windows registry. Ultimately, the question comes down to whether or not Regcure can clean your registry and speed up your computer or not. I'll spend some time exploring the features and functions of RegCure, download and install the software, and run a full scan. When I'm done, we should have a solid answer to the question of whether RegCure is a good registry cleaner or not.
This registry tool was developed by Paretologic, Inc., an international software company, and is offered as a free trial. The free trial of their registry cleaner software gives you the chance to “try it before you buy it.” Even after purchase, your satisfaction is guaranteed.
RegCure scans your computer to find and correct any problems that can cause your system to be slow or crash. It's not uncommon for people to say that their computer runs great after running the RegCure registry cleaner. This is because RegCure's scanning and cleaning operations are more thorough than that of its competing products. In short, RegCure provides efficient, yet amazingly quick, in depth scanning into your system registry and then unleashes its real power by fixing any errors it finds.
What are the benefits to cleaning my registry?
RegCure will address the root cause of system errors, blue screens of death, and performance issues. If your system is running slowly, RegCure will clean up the registry issues that are causing it to run this way. RegCure corrects broken links to applications, which can cause the application to fail to launch. RegCure also cleans up shortcuts which are no longer valid, this keeps your system from searching for the missing program or file, thus giving you fewer headaches and improving your system performance.
RegCure – an easy to use registry cleaner
RegCure users will find the tool is easy and straight forward. Don't let this fool you though, even though it seems basic, RegCure is a very powerful tool for cleaning up your system registry of errors and returning your system back to the speed you know it should have. Additionally, this registry cleaner boasts a feature to backup and restore your system registry so that you'll never feel stuck with any changes it makes and easily be able to revert back to an earlier copy of your system registry, if needed.
How about user-friendliness?
After downloading RegCure via a single click, users will find the tool installs in just a few clicks and under 5 minutes. RegCure then launches automatically where a full scan can be started. The interface is clean and the power of this registry cleaner is masked by the simplicity of its use. When it comes to user-friendliness, RegCure can stand among other world-class software offerings.
What features does RegCure have?
Deep registry scanning penetration ensures that even the most obscure problems are found and repaired. RegCure is quick and yet comprehensive in its scanning and repair. RegCure automatically makes registry backups every time you run it so you always have the option to restore your registry. Additionally, RegCure includes a way to schedule automatic registry scanning and repair.
Like anti-virus, anti-adware, and anti-spyware programs, RegCure automatically updates itself with definition files in order to incorporate new fixes as registry problems are discovered in applications and the Windows operating system itself.
RegCure includes a startup program manager. This allows you to review what Windows is starting automatically when it starts up. This feature gives you the ability to disable questionable applications so that you can identify if any of the startup programs are causing you issues.

My experience with RegCure
I've been an IT person since 1988 and have used personal computers since 1980. I fully expected to see a lot of complicated functions and options in RegCure. However, RegCure was amazingly elegant in its simplicity. The interface was crisp looking, looked pleasing, and was fairly minimal in terms of what you had to configure to use it. I was very pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of Lavasoft's Ad-aware interface, if you have ever used that anti-adware program.
Downloading the software was extremely easy and very fast. I expected the process to take several minutes, but it only took about a minute on my cable Internet connection. It took mere moments to explore the 5 function buttons that you can use. Like I said before, simplicity is apparent throughout this registry cleaner.
The full registry scan took just under 2 minutes on my Dell XPS M1330 laptop. I expected it to take much longer, considering how long it takes my system to perform searches within my registry for specific keys and hives. My system had 120 problems, including ActiveX/COM and DLL issues, which were found and fixed. It really took no time at all.
As I wasn't experiencing any performance problems before scanning, I noticed only a little improvement in my system speed. In another review I read, the reviewer had over 1,000 errors on his system which were all corrected by RegCure and felt that his system was performing over 20% faster.
So, Is RegCure Worth The Money?
RegCure is one of the most inexpensive registry cleaner programs available. RegCure is feature rich, performs very well, and delivers on its promises to improve your system performance.
In my analysis, RegCure is well worth the price. You Want RegCure on your side! Your computer will seem like it's brand new once again after using RegCure to clean your system registry.
